A.Points
System NO CURRENT PRIZE DRAW SCHEDULED, ALL POINTS WILL BE CONVERTED TO "CASH POINTS" UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE: Opinion Matters runs a point system. Points are earned in the
form of “Prize Points” or "Cash Points" by
completing surveys. Each “Prize
Point” gives one entry into the current cash prize draw.
“Prize Points” may be doubled. “Prize Points” that
have been used to double cannot be used to double again. Points that
have been used to double cannot be converted to “Cash Points” and
cannot be redeemed for cash. Additional "Prize Points" gained by
the double feature each gain one entry into the current cash prize
draw.
If Opinion Matters is not running a current Prize Draw, "Prize Points " will count as entries into the next prize draw that is conducted.
“Prize Points” are used up in the current cash prize draw.
After the draw period closes “Prize Points” will be
reduced to zero and entered into the draw.
Opinion Matters may extend or shorten the the opening and closing
dates of the prize draws. In these circumstances, Opinion Matters
will attempt to notify members by email.
“Prize Points” can be converted into “Cash Points”.
Each “Cash Point” is worth AU$0.10. The minimum amount
to redeem is 250 "Cash Points" (AU$25.00). A member needs to login to their account and
access the points conversion page to perform this action. “Cash
Points” expire if unclaimed within a year of being earned. If membership ceases, “Cash Points” are
voided. Once “Prize Points” are converted to “Cash
Points” they cannot be converted back.
An Opinion Matters member can enter the double process through their
account page. Up to 100 points may be doubled. A game with a 50% chance
of winning is shown, if the game is won, the points that have been
elected to play with are doubled. This game me be played up to five
times. The double process may be opted out of after each game.
Points that are doubled cannot be converted to cash.
If a member is suspected of dishonest or fraudulent behaviour, Opinion
Matters maintains the right to terminate membership and any points
earned, or to suspend a members account while investigation into
fraudulent behaviour is carried out.
B. Referral Points
NOTE: The Referral system is currently suspended.
A member will be credited 20 points for every referral made to Opinion
Matters in which the referred person completes registration with
Opinion Matters. The referred person must complete have their email
address confirmed and must complete the profile survey in order to
complete the registration process.
The referring member will not receive points if the referred person
joins Opionion Matters independently of the members referral. This
may happen if the referred person does not follow the link sent to
them on behalf of the referring member and does not provide
the referring member's correct email address when registering.
Any person who engages in fraudulent or dishonest behaviour in the
referral process will have their membership and points cancelled.

Entry
Members of the Opinion Matters website receive entry by completing
an online survey at www.opinionmatters.com.au
An opinion matters
member receives an entry into the prize draw for participating
in surveys. This includes the survey that must be completed to
become a member. Members receive one or more entries for each
survey. The number of entries for completing a survey will be
communicated at the beginning of the survey. Prize draw entries
may also be given to members who begin a survey but do not meet the
demographic criteria that is required.
Eligible entrants
Entrants must be registered on the Opinion Matters panel. Entrants
must be Australian citizens or permanent Australian residents.
Entrants must reside in Australia at the time of the competition.
Entrants must be 18 years of age or older.
Draw Details
All winners will be drawn at 12pm on
(extended to) 2nd April 2009, 12pm on 20th June 2009, 12pm on 20th September
2009 and 12pm on 22nd December
2009. Winners will be announced on the Opinion Matters website
(www.opinionmatters.com.au) within 3 days of the draw date. Winners
of the prizes will be published in “The Australian” newspaper
on the 16.04.09, 30.06.09, 30.09.09 and 30.12.09.

Notification of Winners
Winners will be notified by email and by telephone on the day of
the draw and via mail sent on the day of the draw.
Unclaimed Prizes
Winners have a 3 month period to claim their prize. If a winner
has failed to claim their prize within this period, they are
assumed to have forfeited the prize. A new winner will be drawn
on the 20.06.09, 20.09.09, 20.12.09 and 20.03.10.
Winner selection
A random number generator will be used to select winners.
No liability for loss or damage
Opinion Matters will not be held liable for any loss
or damage to a prize as a result of taking the prize.
Employees and their families non-eligibility
Employees of Opinion Matters and their families
are not eligible to enter the Referral Competition.

Competition changes Opinion Matters retains the right to make changes to the competition
at any time. Opinion Matters may extend or shorten the the opening
and closing dates of the prize draws. In these circumstances, Opinion
Matters will attempt to notify members by email.
D. Membership Conditions
Each member of Opinion Matters may hold only one account. Multiple accounts are not permitted. Opinion Matters holds the right to terminate membership where faudulent behaviour is likely to have occured. Such behaviour may include, but is not limited to, creating multiple accounts using fraudulent names and email address. In such instances, any payment and eligibility for prize draws will be cancelled for that member.
Members are required to provide meaningful, honest responses to surveys. If members provide dishonest or nonsensical answers to surveys then that member's account may be cancelled at the discretion of Opinion Matters.

Opinion Matters may update the Terms and Conditions at any time.
